Just a walk away from the beautiful Cambrian coast with award winning golden beaches and the Rhinogs Mountains  in Talybont is Hwylfa Groes Cottage. Set in the Snowdonia National Park between the seaside town of Barmouth on the Mawddach estuary and the historic castle town of Harlech.

Hwylfa Groes is ideally situated on the beautiful coast within easy reach of  the wealth of attractions Snowdonia has to offer, with great days out for all the family from Aberystwyth in the South to Snowdon and Anglesey in the North. The local area itself boasts many activities including horse riding, golf, walking, bird watching, fishing and cycling and many seasonal events, fairs and galas taking place in and around Barmouth throughout the year.

All within a short walk of the cottage, the village has a well stocked general stores and off-licence, Tony’s Italian Restaurant is highly recommended offering a superb menu and a freshly prepared pizza takeaway service and the Ysgethin Inn serves excellent food and fine beers in peaceful surroundings by the woods and the river. There are tranquil walks through the bluebell woods following the River Ysgethin to the Rhinog Mountains with views of the Mawdacch and the breathtaking expanse of golden sandy beach backed by the sand dunes is just a short walk away.

A recently refurbished traditional stone built detached cottage dating back to 1754, with exposed stone walls, slate floors throughout, a large inglenook fireplace with woodburning stove and original bread oven. Walker and Cycle friendly with secure cycle storage available.
