Parking -
There is off road parking in the drive to the rear of the cottage adjacent to the main entrance. The parking area is flat and gravelled. The parking area is accessed from a side road on the same level with no slopes. Assistance is available on arrival and departure upon advanced request.
Garden - The garden is on two levels, the lower level is gravelled and accessed from the conservatory with no steps, there is bench seating here. The upper level has a patio and grassed area accessed by 2 sets of stone steps; these are a little uneven with no hand rails.
COTTAGE
Entrance - Upon approaching the main entrance there is security lighting. 1 stone step approx 300mm down to the front door 770mm wide into the conservatory over a threshold, this is the main entrance. There is one step down
140mm from the conservatory into a small passage (820mm x 950mm) leading to the main living area through a door 770mm wide. There is a spotlight in this area. There are additional security devices around the cottage.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Bus -
Nearest bus stops are in the village centre in Talybont by the car park and public toilets approx 100m away on a level walk for travel to Barmouth, and directly opposite the cottage for travel from Barmouth.
Trains - There is a small station at Talybont approx 400m from the cottage. There are steps down to the platform. 5 minute journey to Barmouth. Barmouth approx 4 miles away has train station with tourist information centre. Pamphlets in the cottage detail local transport timetables, for bus, train and coaches.
SHOPS
Talybont has a well stocked general stores, open from 6am selling local produce, range of provisions, postcards and gifts, kindling, and also selling newspapers and magazines, with off licence and a small post office service. A post box is located in the village centre and public toilets next to the bus stop and carpark. Tony's Italian restaurant, Yegethin Inn and a hair dresser are also located in the village.
Dyffryn Ardudwy 1 mile to the North has petrol station and garage, a well stocked Spar shop (open until 8pm in summer) where cash can be withdrawn and a Butchers. Also in the village is Fox's Post Office and general store with cash machine, also selling local produce a range of household and food provisions, postcards, greetings cards and off license. Open until late.
2 pubs/restaurants the Ael-y-bryn and Cadwgan a DIY & builders merchant and local recycling centre for paper, glass and cans in the village car park.
Barmouth 4 miles away has an excellent range of shopping facilities; including banks, (Natwest, HSBC and Barclays with cash machines), Post office, cafes, restaurants, pubs, gift shops, clothing shops, shoe shops, electrical, DIY, fishing, antique, sports shops, greetings cards, Spar shop and Co-op supermarket and a twice weekly market Sunday and Thursday Mar-Oct, theatre, sports centre, harbour, bike hire, petrol station and many more - excellent parking facilities in the town.

There is no telephone at the cottage; the nearest payphone is in Talybont village centre adjacent to the carpark.
Mobile phone coverage is variable.
Orange network is fairly reasonable.
Extra lamps are available upon advance request.
Large print “Information Folder” is available on advance request .
Emergency telephone numbers for local doctors, police, fire service, and nearest A&E hospitals are included in the “Information Folder” at the cottage.
