Saturday 23 April 2011. 2 - 5pm. Crûg Farm Plants, Griffith's Crossing, Caernarfon. This is an afternoon event where we will stroll through the woodland and gardens looking at all the new plants that are coming through after the dark winter. Tea and cake is included in the cost of the ticket.

A charity walk around Lake Bala - Saturday May 7th through forests, over moorland with wonderful views and the opportunity to see wildlife. This year we are supporting: national charities and local good causes. You can raise money for your own charity, good cause, or club, or just enjoy the walk.

Harlech Triathlon - Sunday May 15th 2011 - 10th Anniversary. Swim 400M - Novice-friendly swim takes place in Harlech Swimming Pool. Bike 30K - Scenic route along the Cambrian Coast. Snowdon 500 Challenge - 21st - 22nd May 2011 - Due to the popularity of this unique charity challenge and the demand for places, Snowdon 500 - 2010 will be held on two days over the weekend of 21st and 22nd of May 2011.  You can choose to walk on either the Saturday or the Sunday and we still have some places available on both days so register now to secure your place and help make a real difference in our quest to find a cure for Prostate Cancer.

National Garden Scheme Open Garden Day Sunday 30th May. Crûg Farm Plants, Griffith's Crossing, Caernarfon. On our open garden days we invite the public to visit our walled display garden, which opens on the eastern side to breathtaking views of Snowdonia behind some of the wooded gardens, surrounding the front of Crûg House. From here you will be directed to our splendid ysgubor (stone barn) for home made teas and cakes run by our village branch of the NSPCC. Snowdon Race
23rd July 2011 - One of Europe's toughest endurance challenges, the 10-mile race involves running from the edge of Lake Padarn in the village of Llanberis to the highest summit in Wales and England and back down.

Dyffryn and Talybont Funday
Annual event held on the last Sunday in July, 11am - late. Our Fun day is held on the last Sunday in July every year at Coed y Bachau Fields, Dyffryn Ardudwy, Gwynedd. Just off the A496 coast road, keep an eye open for the signs!! Country music, Fairground rides, quad bikes, pram race, charity stalls, carboot sale, refreshments, bar and full itinerary of events. Visits from Coastguard and Fire service planned come and join in the fun 11am til 5pm parking space for over 200 cars. 11 am til 5 pm Over 16’s £3 each under 16’s and OAPs free .

Eglwysbach Agricultural and Horticultural Show -
Saturday 13th August 2011, Eglwysbach village is towards Conwy off the A470. This popular annual event features agricultural rare breeds, locally produced vegetables, honey and wine, flower arranging and children's entertainment.

Barmouth Festival of Walking - 18th - 27th September - The Festival of Walking is a well established event organised by Barmouth Publicity Association to take advantage of the fabulous walks and dramatic landscape accessible from Barmouth, on the west coast of Wales. Taking place in September every year, the festival gives walkers of all abilities the opportunity to enjoy eight days of guided walks around the beautiful Mawddach Estuary and Southern Snowdonia. RHS - Plant Collecting. 
Saturday 17th September 2011 - Crûg Farm Plants, Griffith's Crossing, Caernarfon. There will be an illustrated talk on plant collecting covering our last expedition to South Korea in the autumn of 2010. After lunch we shall walk through the grounds and growing areas to look at the plants we have collected. Morning coffee and afternoon tea is included in the cost of the ticket. Please bring a packed lunch.

 

Snowdon Marathon -
Saturday  October 29th 2011. The inaugural Snowdonia Marathon was held in 1982, and was conceived as a dramatic alternative to the numerous city and town races becoming so popular. The demanding and spectacular route, encircling Snowdon, Wales' and England's highest peak, has given the event a unique place in the annual marathon calendar ever since.

Saturday 18th June 2011 -  This is a unique opportunity to visit our trial beds and fields where many of the varieties growing have never been seen in cultivation before.The informal event will begin at 10.30 in the old granary (ysgubor in Welsh) a focal part of the nursery at Crûg, with registration and coffee. The day will be spent studying our collections.

Woodfest Wales Showcasing the World of Wood.
28th, 29th and 30th May 2011 - Woodfest now has the stunning back drop of the beautiful Kinmel Park Estate after 10 years holding Woodfest in ST Asaph. Having out grown the site we are pleased to be re-locating our festival to the Kinmel Park Estate, St George Abergele. The move to this permanent new site allows our festival to continue its enormous success and popularity.
The new festival site is set in beautiful park land where we have 20 acres of festival ground and over 50 acres of car parking and camping. The Kinmel Park Estate Is surrounded by mature woodlands with the elegant Kinmel Hall in the background. Located just off the A55 with easy access direct into the festival site, there is a free shuttle bus daily every hour from St Asaph and Bodelwyddan.

Anglesey County Show

13th - 21st August 2011 - Conwy Quay Day is the opportunity for all of the family to enjoy the fun and excitement on shore as well as in the water. The Three Castles Welsh Classic Car Trial
1st - 4th June 2011 - This unmissable event will again be based in the attractive seaside town of Llandudno. Over three days a full entry of over 125 cars will cover 500 miles, visiting many of the most attractive locations in North Wales and travelling over great rally roads. Competition will be over ten regularity sections and eighteen driving tests on private land.
Teddy Bears' Picnic - Welsh Highland Railway
4th & 5th June - Children go FREE if they bring a teddy bear to the railway. See if you can spot the bears hiding the Big Shed and win a prize. Watch out for Biggles the mischievous bear, who'll be riding on the train.
