You must be aged 21 or over to make a booking and regret no all male or all female groups. Families and couples only. Only the number of guests stated on the booking form are permitted to stay at the cottage. Unfortunately we are unable to accept late bookings within 7 days of the start date. Guide dogs accepted. Regret no pets and strictly non-smoking.

Provisional bookings are held for 5 days pending receipt of deposit.
Unfortunately we are unable to accept bookings within 7 days of your chosen start date.
A non-refundable deposit of £50 is required to secure a booking together with the booking form.
We are unable to process bookings without both the booking fee and the completed booking form together 
The contract is binding once payment is received.
Confirmation will be sent once the deposit and booking form have been received.
An invoice is posted 1 month before the final balance is due.
The balance and security deposit is payable 1 month before the start of your holiday.
Upon clearance of the final payments a brochure pack will be posted detailing directions, facilities and arrangements for the day of arrival. (Please ensure addresses are up to date and please notify us of any changes asap).
For Late Bookings within 1 month of the start of your holiday the full amount is payable.

We regret that it is not currently possible for us to accept payment by credit or debit card over the phone. but we do accept the following payment methods:
Cheques - Please make cheques payable to: Hwylfa Groes and post to Mr Graham Smith, 22 Acacia Drive, Great Dunmow, Essex. CM6 1UA.
Internet Banking  - Please contact us for our Barclays business banking details.
International Banking - Please contact us for details.

If you do need to cancel your holiday after booking please advise us either in writing or by email as soon as possible (not text messaging). This not only increases the chance of us being able to re-let the cottage but also of being able to return your money at the earliest to avoid charging a higher cancellation fee.
You may wish to take out adequate insurance to cover you in case of a cancellation. We do not offer this service but it may be purchased from most insurance brokers.
In the event of a cancellation, please inform us in writing  (not text messaging) as soon as possible as cancellation fees will apply:
Cancellation before 1 month of holiday start date - £50 is charged,
Cancellation between 7 days and 1 month of holiday start date - £100 is charged,
Cancellation within 7 days of holiday start date - The full amount of the holiday is charged.
The holiday will be cancelled by us if payments due and any forms are not received by the dates kindly requested and a cancellation fee may apply. If for reasons beyond our control the holiday is cancelled we will offer a full refund of all monies paid or offer alternative dates if possible.

Unless by prior arrangement before booking, the cottage is available for you at 1.00pm on the day of arrival to 10.00am on the day of departure.
Please vacate by 10am to enable us time to prepare the cottage for arrivals at 1pm.
We kindly ask that guests arrive as close to 1pm as possible
but not before as the cottage may not be ready.
Should you wish to arrive at a alternative time please let us know at time of booking as we cannot guarantee that we are able to meet guests any later than 1pm and the booking may be cancelled and a cancellation fee charged.
We do not leave keys at the cottage or with neighbours for guest collection.
**We do require a mobile/contact number, should we need to contact you on day of travel.

Guests are responsible for the property during their stay and are liable in full for any loss or damage, a £75 deposit is required to secure against this and is returned in full or in part after inspection of the cottage within 14 days of the end of your stay.  We understand that minor breakages and mishaps do occur from time to time and we do not charge for these. 
We also respectfully request upon your departure that Hwylfa Groes Cottage is left in a clean, tidy and hygienic condition, is locked and secure, all appliances and lights are switched off and woodburning stoves are extinguished. A minimum fee of £20 will be deducted from the security deposit to cover for any extra cleaning including washing up and personal waste/food removal that we have to undertake on your behalf upon your departure.
Vehicles, contents, luggage and personal belongings are left at the property at  the owner's risk. Any items left at the property upon your departure will be returned to you and the cost of postage deducted from the security deposit.

Should any of your original booking details change, including a change of address, email or any contact telephone number please inform us in writing or by telephone of such a change as soon as possible before your holiday, not text messaging.
The cottage sleeps up to 3. Main bedroom with one double bed and second bedroom with one single bed.
All other beds are made up prior to your arrival. Bed linen provided: Duvets & covers, sheets, pillows & pillow cases.1 bath and 1 hand towel per guest. Beach towels are not provided.
The price is for the hire of the cottage and facilities.
Electricity is included in price of your holiday but we do respectfully request that electric use is not excessive.
Please do not remove any items from the cottage.
Regret pets are not permitted.
Guide dogs welcome.
For the comfort of all of our guests the cottage is strictly non-smoking.
10% Discount for two persons only sharing the double room - only the bed in the double room will be made up prior to arrival.
