Welcome basket
We provide all guests with a welcome basket upon arrival including a complimentary bottle of wine, milk, bread, coffee, tea, sugar and homemade scones to make the start of your holiday a comfortable one.
Hwylfa Groes is over 250 years old built in 1754 and has been fully modernised whilst retaining the charm of an 18th Century Cottage. With exposed stone walls, a large inglenook fireplace with woodburning stove and original bread oven, slate floors throughout, timber framed double glazed windows and a stone built conservatory with it's own woodburner and dining area providing a pleasant setting overlooking the lower garden .
All rooms have been comfortably furnished providing a warm and homely feel. There are two bedrooms, 1 double and 1 single, and sleeps up to 3. Bed linen is included with beds made up ready for you on arrival, bath and hand towels are also provided.
The cottage has a fully fitted kitchen, including washer/dryer, microwave, built in oven, ceramic hob, kettle, toaster, ironing facilities and a good selection of cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils. We also provide for your use a selection of cleaning materials, kitchen provisions and complimentary toiletries and a basket of wood fuel for each of the woodburners in cooler months. The modern tiled shower room has power shower (no bath) and in the lounge there is a flat screen digital TV with freeview, a hard drive digital TV recorder, DVD and CD player with a selection of DVDs, CDs, books, games and brochures. Electricity is included in the price.
The cottage has private off road parking and secure cycle storage available upon advanced request, the pretty landscaped garden has patio, lawn and gravelled areas and outdoor furniture. Beautiful views can be enjoyed from the cottage of the Rhinog mountains and over the fields to the sea with spectacular sunsets over the Lleyn Peninsular and Bardsey Island.
